CHS Dryden Office Closure

Dear CHS Clients:

After careful consideration, we have decided to close The Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) Dryden office as of June 27, 2008.

As a non-profit organization, our focus is on ensuring that the needs of culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people are met, particularly in underserved areas. We are making the decision to close our Dryden office because we feel confident that our clients will receive the services they require from other agencies that are both prescribing and dispensing hearing aids.

Since October 1, 2002, The Canadian Hearing Society has provided the residents of the Dryden community with exceptional service in the areas of hearing aid dispensing, communication device sales, and counseling services. Although we will no longer provide hearing aid and devices sales our counselling services will remain in place.

Until the June 27 closing date, our hearing instrument dispenser, Nancy Hatch, and receptionist/secretary, Claudette Richard, will continue to serve the Dryden community. Our Kenora hearing health care counsellor, Dianne Griffiths, will also attend the community.

Our office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the following dates until the closure:

May 13th – 15th

May 20th – 23rd

May 26th – 28th

June 3rd – 6th

June 23rd - 27th
