There are many kinds of fraud scams on the internet and by mail and phone .  Please remember that anytime you are asked to send money by Western Union or are asked to cash a cheque for a person you have met on the internet you are likely being scammed. If you are not sure, please contact the Fraud Branch of the Waterloo Regional Police Service fraudbranch@wrps.on.ca or Sue McCarter at smccarter@waterloo.chs.ca.
