Hearing Help Classes

  • Offers a supportive group environment for deafened and hard of hearing adults (16 years and older) and their significant others, by providing a step-by-step approach to coping with hearing loss and improving communication skills in a variety of listening environments.
  • Provides information on hearing loss, hearing aids, technical devices, speechreading, and other communication and coping strategies.
  • A summer intensive Hearing Help Class and an annual Elderhostel Program are available as well as five levels of Hearing Help Classes.
  • Individual sessions are offered for auditory training, visual and auditory, visual speechreading training, communication strategy training, assistive devices consultation, information and counselling.
