Literacy & Basic Skills
- Provides training in literacy and basic skills for deaf, deafened and hard of hearing adults (16 years and older) with limited English or American Sign Language (ASL).
- ASL is the language of instruction; training is done in large and small groups.
- Opportunities include; learning to lead independent lives, learning numeracy, pre-employment preparation, acquiring personal daily living skills, developing thinking and problem solving skills, interacting with both the deaf and the hearing communities, learning to use interpreters and learn English through the use of ASL.
